Group 75 was formed in 1975 by Margaret Tietze. There are now nine members. Four live in the Wrexham area, three in S. Wales, one in Taunton, Somerset, and another in Inverness. Group 75 has exhibited annually from 1975 starting its tours in N.Wales. Venues have been as far afield in Britain as Inverness, Somerset and London, and abroad, in Philadelphia and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA, and Cape Town and Stellenbosch, South Africa. The group has a policy of inviting guest contributors. In 1995, following an earlier exchange with an American group of artists, the Group 75 tour included works by three American artists. One of these, Gabrielle Russomagno, a young photographer from Philadelphia, has maintained links with the group since then and exhibited in Group 75 shows. The women members of the group exhibited in 1998/9 in an exhibition that was titled Homeland: A personal response to place and time. Three artists from South Africa were guest contributors to this exhibition.

The programme for 1999/2000 symbolized the spirit of the millennium by the inclusion of work by four new graduates. The title of the exhibition was Ten plus Four. The guest artists were selected on the strength of their work in their degree shows. The 2000-2003 programme called Spirit of the Place (Genius Loci) combined the group members with four South African artists selected to exhibit with Group 75 in this international tour. The South Africans were chosen by the Association of the Visual Arts in Cape Town.

Ordnance Survey 117 was a touring exhibition by five Group 75 members - Lynne Bebb, Dave Cooper, Richard Hore, Boris Tietze and Margaret Tietze. The tour included the Royal International Pavilion, Llangollen, Bersham Industrial Heritage Centre. Rhyl Library Arts Centre, Daniel Owen Centre, Mold and Grosvenor Museum & Gallery, Chester. The tour finished in June 2004

Open Prospect was the title of Group 75's recent programme. The mixed media exhibition tours Wales and Scotland through 2005 and 2006. The collaboration between Wales and South Africa continues with Thembinkosi Goniew and Nkoali Nawa as guest contributors, both visiting Wales to give residencies.

A tour planned for 2008 will again include the work of two artists from South Africa. The exhibition theme is 'Double Vision'.
